The Spa U10 boys faced Kenmare in a set of go games amid less-than-ideal weather, but the spirits remained sky high on both sides.

Despite the damp and breezy conditions, the boys showed great enthusiasm and turned out in strong numbers, with supportive parents and coaches lining the pitch to cheer them on.

Kenmare brought a determined and energetic squad who handled the tricky weather well, using quick footwork, solid shoulder-to-shoulder challenges, and accurate deliveries to create some exciting passages of play. Their positive approach kept the games competitive and flowing right through the session.

The Spa lads responded admirably, refusing to let the weather dampen their efforts. There were impressive displays of fielding under pressure, determined solo runs, crisp kicks, and excellent positional awareness as the home team adapted to the conditions. Every boy got plenty of game time and contributed to the team effort. The coaches were thrilled with the resilience, positive attitude, and enjoyment shown by the full group in blue and yellow.

Both teams demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, keeping the focus on fun, learning, and fair play despite the challenging elements. It was a testament to the great underage spirit in both clubs.
A sincere thank you to Kenmare for the fixture and for their sporting approach throughout the evening. Their players and mentors helped create a memorable occasion for all involved.
