Our U11 boys travelled to Kenmare on Saturday morning to take part in the Mike Maybury Memorial Tournament.

A slow start in the opening game saw us lose out to a very good Rathmore team. The boys showed great character to bounce back and beat the hosts, Kenmare, earning a place in the Cup Final and another meeting with Rathmore.

Spa started the final brightly before Rathmore began to pull away. Our boys fought back well to close the gap but ultimately fell just short in a very competitive game.

The entire panel got valuable minutes throughout the day, and the boys can be very proud of the way they kept going, showed great determination and continued to improve with every game.

Congratulations to Rathmore on the win, and thanks to Kenmare for the invitation and the hospitality shown throughout the day.
