The Spa U12 girls enjoyed a fantastic day out last Sunday as they travelled to the John Mitchels GAA grounds to take part in the Kerry LGFA U12 Lee Strand County Blitz.

With an excellent turnout of 21 players, the Spa girls were divided into two teams, with both teams playing three competitive and action-packed games throughout the day.

There was plenty of quality football on display, with the girls showing great skill, determination and teamwork from start to finish. The games featured some outstanding goalkeeping, strong defensive play and some excellent finishing in attack.

Between matches, the girls made the most of the downtime, refuelling with snacks, chatting with teammates and enjoying the atmosphere of the day.

A particular highlight off the pitch was the opportunity to meet some of the current Kerry LGFA stars. The girls enjoyed chatting with the players and getting some photos, creating some lovely memories from a very enjoyable day.

A huge credit to the team at John Mitchels GAA for the excellent organisation of the event and for providing such a positive and enjoyable experience for all the players.

The day was rounded off with a well-earned trip to McDonald’s — the perfect way to finish a busy day of football!

Well done to all 21 girls on their fantastic efforts throughout the day. They were a wonderful credit to Spa GAA, showing great enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship both on and off the pitch.
