Spa’s Men’s Junior team return to competitive action this Sunday (13th September) as they begin their Kerry GAA Junior Football - Cahill Cup campaign with an away trip to Listowel Emmets. Throw-in is at 4pm.
It will be the team’s first outing since the conclusion of the league campaign in July, when Spa finished top of the McCarthy Insurance Group Senior Football County League Division 7B.
Six teams are competing in this year’s Cahill Cup, with the teams divided into two groups:
Group A: Currow, Listowel Emmets, Spa
Group B: Annascaul, Laune Rangers C, Moyvane
Each team will play the other teams in their group once. The group winners will meet in the Cup Final, while the two runners-up will contest the Shield Final.
The opening game in Spa’s group took place last week, with Listowel Emmets coming out on top against Currow on a scoreline of 5-15 to 0-21.
Following Sunday’s trip to Listowel, Spa will welcome Currow in their second group game next weekend, with fixture details to be confirmed.
