Our Spa U10 Boys took a break from their usual training routine on Saturday morning for their annual team building outing, swapping football for Pitch and Putt at Deer Park.

The outing gave the boys the opportunity to try something different, with a mixture of team challenges, healthy competition and plenty of encouragement throughout the morning. Many of the lads were getting their first taste of Pitch and Putt and clearly enjoyed the experience, with several already keen to continue playing!

The morning was about much more than the competition, however, providing a great opportunity for the team to spend time together away from the football pitch, build friendships and enjoy each other's company.

After the Pitch and Putt, the group finished off the morning with pizza and some homemade Spa cake, with team coach Lenora O'Donoghue producing an excellent bake for the occasion.

A special word of thanks goes to Eoin Cronin for all his organisation in putting the outing together, and to fellow coaches Padraig Lynch, Declan Kelliher, Diarmuid Coakley, James Daly and Patrick Cronin for their support.

The club would also like to extend its thanks to Shirley Murphy from Deer Park Pitch and Putt Club for all her help and assistance with organising the event.

Team building days such as this are an important part of the underage experience at Spa. They give our young players the chance to develop friendships, enjoy new experiences and create memories together, while showing that being part of Spa GAA is about more than just football.
