Round 1 Intermediate Championship 18th April 2015
Spa 1-12 Annascual 1-10 Venue: Spa
Michael O’Donoghue opened up the Championship scoreline with a well taken point within the first 30 seconds of play. Andrew Garnett had a great outing on the day and followed shortly with another point. Annascaul midfielder registered their first score. Stam followed with two more unanswered scores. Young Evan Cronin scored his first point of the day. Another two points by Andrew Garnett swapped scores with the West Kerry’s full forward line. Rounding out the first half scores was Shane Cronin and Liam Kearney. Half time Spa 0-9 Annascaul 0-6.
Second half was definitely owned by Annascaul for the for first 16 minutes. They scored a goal within the first few seconds of the second half. Another 3 points followed unanswered by Spa tried to until the 16th minute when the accurate Evan Cronin scored Spa’s only goal after receiving a great pass from Shane Lynch. Our side found their momentum yet again and Craig Hickey, Stam (free) registered scores. Stam was unlucky hitting the crossbar and deflected into the Annascual defence. Evan Cronin scored the last point of the day after a great game. James Devane pulled off a great save. The backs were solid with sterling performances by the half back line of Shane Lynch,
Dan O’Donoghue and Shane Cronin. Andrew Garnett and Liam Kearney played with heart and were very influential throughout the entire game. Up Front the aforementioned Evan Cronin, Craig Hickey, Michael O’Donoghue all did Spa proud on the day. Well done to young Dara Moynihan who made his senior debut as a result of his form for the minors.

Minor Co League Division 1
Spa 3-12 Kerins O’Rahillys 1-8
A brilliant display of football on a beautiful evening last Friday night in Spa. This was definitely a game that all players played their part. Spa were in control from the start when Dara Moynihan opened up the score board. David Carroll pulled off three superb saves that kept Spa on top throughout the entire match. Michael Foley was on target scoring and was a close contender for man of the match along with Dara Moynihan, Evan Cronin and Eoin Cronin. Fionan Walsh was a constant threat to the Tralee side as he set up many scores and played an attacking half back.
The entire back line played solid defensively. Mike McCarthy and Ciaran Spillane lorded midfield. Speedy recovery to Ciaran injured on the night. The forwards were running constantly through Kerins O’Rahillys defence and never overplayed the pass or movement.
Team: David Carroll, Eoin Cronin, Eric O’Donoghue, David Moynihan, Fionan Walsh (0-1), Aidan Fleming, Mikey Moynihan (0-1) Ciaran Spillane, Mike McCarthy (0-1), Dion Marcus, Dara Moynihan (0-3), David Spillane,
