EAST KERRY ARE THE U21 CO CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the East Kerry team & management on their win in the U21 Co Championship Final. Final score (after extra time) - East Kerry 1-22 North Kerry 3-14. Special mention to our two Spa members involved with the team, Cian Murphy & Sean Cronin (selector).
LGFA ALL IRELAND FINAL
Hard luck to Cassandra Buckley and the Kerry Ladies team and management who lost out to Meath in the All Ireland Final on Sunday by 3-10 to 1-7. What an incredible year it has been for the Kerry Ladies.
SENIOR LADIES
Our senior ladies played Dr Crokes in Fitzgerald Stadium last Wednesday night in the Donal Curtin Cup Co League Final. It was the first time for our senior ladies contested the Final in this competition and on the night lost out by just one point. Final score Spa 1-5 Dr Crokes 0-9. Congrats to our Senior Ladies team & management on a great league campaign.
KERRY GAA HOLIDAY FUND TICKETS
Any club members that want to return their raffle ticket from the All Ireland, please drop it into the lotto box in the clubhouse reception and we will return them to the Co Board office.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP RD1
Spa begin their Club Championship campaign next weekend. Our seniors will play Dingle in the first round next Saturday August 6th at 7pm (in Strand Road). Rd2 and Rd3 fixture details against Na Gaeil and Kenmare Shamrocks will be confirmed after that game. Best of luck to the team and management.
CO MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Well done to the East Kerry minor team who defeated Rathmore last week in Rd2 of the Minor Championship group stages. Special mention to the Spa members with the team Oran O'Neill, Timmy Moynihan, Aidan Cronin, Luke O'Neill, Danny Coffey, Emmett Spillane, Cian Russell and mentor John O'Neill. They play North Kerry in Round 3 this Monday August 1st.
EAST KERRY JUNIOR LEAGUE
East Kerry Junior League continues this Tuesday August 2nd with Spa away to Scartaglen (7.30pm).
KERRY COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
This year’s Garvey's Supervalu Senior Football Championship will have a new format similar to the Club Championships. Teams will be divided into 4 groups with 4 teams, with the top two in each group progressing to the quarter finals. The draw will take place in the next couple of weeks, details to be confirmed.
