U10 BOYS
Our u10 boys hosted Dr Crokes to rainy Spa on Thursday night. Future stars for both clubs and the crowd was well entertained with superb talent. Thanks to our coaches, parents and our neighbours Dr Crokes for travelling.

On Sunday morning at their training session they were joined by Kerry and An Ghaeltacht star Marc Ó Sé. Marc demonstrated the different skills and watched our young members put into practice. There was a question and answer opportunity at the end of the session and Marc was inundated with many queries both on and off the field. Thanks Marc, former great Kerry senior player for taking the time out of your busy schedule. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

U8 BOYS & GIRLS WELCOMED KILCUMMIN TO SPA

The young boys and girls were proud to show off their skills to their parents and grandparents after all their training on Saturday mornings. Thanks to Kilcummin for travelling the short distance and to all the dedicated coaches who were on hand to host this little fun blitz.

SPECIAL BIRTHDAY SURPRISE FOR IAN O’CONNELL
Ian O’Connell visited the club on Friday evening to take part in the weekly Share the Pot draw with promises of going to a BBQ afterwards , but little did he realise hidden at the other side of the building was a brand new 2020 wheelchair accessible vehicle waiting for him!

Ian turned 19 on Friday and certainly got a surprise when he came onto the pitch and saw his mom and dad sitting in the car with a group of extended family, friends and event representatives waiting for him.

Ian was the recipient of a wheelchair vehicle in 2018 when he was nominated as one of the beneficiaries of the KN Group All Ireland GAA Golf Challenge. The following year, he remained involved when he was asked to be an ambassador for the event.

And he definitely had no idea that some of the event organisers Liam Daniels, Derek McGrath, Mickey Morrissey, Sean Raher and car sponsors Jerry & Michael Lyng from Lyng Motors Kilkenny were in Spa waiting for him on Friday night when he called to the club!
