A massive thank you to everyone who supported our very successful main fundraiser of 2022 for Coiste na Nóg. Thank you to all our sponsors, organisers and the Great Southern Hotel for pulling together and creating a fantastic night!
U12 GIRLS SOUTH KERRY DIV3 FINAL SPA V KILCUMMIN
Having finished the group on 12 points joint top with Laune Rangers & Kilcummin, Laune Rangers were declared outright winners on scoring differential with Spa to Play Kilcummin in an A Final.
Having lost away to Kilcummin in Round 2 on a scoreline of Kilcummin 5-08 to Spa 0-02, we knew we had it all to do & needed to be firing on all cylinders to have any chance on the night. Kilcummin started brightly opening the scoring but our girls got to grips with things in quarter 2 and went in at the break with a 4-point lead. It was a huge battle in middle third of the pitch, with momentum swinging both ways at various points in the second half. Spa carried that 4-point lead going into the final quarter, but alas an excellent Q4 performance from Kilcummin saw them edge ahead & finish deserved winners on the night on a scoreline of Spa 3-02 Kilcummin 2-08.
This match was one of the most enjoyable and exciting matches we’ve been involved in & it is just fantastic to see how this team is improving week by week. They are an absolute credit to the Club & their parents in their commitment, behaviour & application of skills, and we look forward now to the County League which should commence shortly.

SENIOR LADIES
The Spa Senior Ladies were out again on Sunday 24th April away to Finuge. The first few minutes Finuge played well and led the game with 3 points. The Spa ladies displayed remarkable skill and outstanding football throughout the game with strong performances from Sarah Fleming, Mags Cronin and Meghann Cronin resulting in a 4 point lead at half time.
The work rate of players such as Liadh Tobin, Lottie Maher, Laura McLarnon, Ciara Moynihan, Mairead Bennett, Niamh Clifford, Liz Stack, Katie Cronin and Aisling Mahony were second to none which allowed us to maintain possession for the most part of the game. Our goalie on the day Brid Og O’Connor made some significant saves which also contributed to our 5 point win over Finuge.
The final score Spa 2-12 Finuge 2-7. The senior ladies are out next Sunday 8th May in Spa and are playing against Inbhear Sceine Gaels. Throw in is at 12noon.
