SCÓR CHIARRAÍ SCÓR SINSEAR CO FINALS
Spa were very unlucky to lose out by one point to Churchill in Tráth na gCeist. Huge score of 77 out of 80 for Spa. Ray O’Sullivan gave a wonderful recitation performance but lost out to Helen Sugrue of Na Gaeil. Chairman Christy Killeen gave his last speech for Coiste Scór Chiarraí to a large audience in Currow Community Centre as per the 5 year GAA rule. A wonderful ambassador for the cultural side of the GAA along with his hard working committee. The winners on the night were as follows:

ABC & U7s END OF YEAR 
The u7s / ABCs had their final fun filled training session last weekend, complete with taytos and medals presented by some of the senior players. Senior player Evan Cronin capped off the year by giving an excellent team talk to the u7s group in preparation for their move up to the u9s next year. A massive thank you to all the coaches for their dedication throughout the year.

 

U11s TRAINING WITH THE STARS
A big thank you to Adrian Spillane & Jason Foley for taking the time on Saturday morning to train our Spa U11s in Kenmare. The session was organized as part of St Francis Special School Training With The Stars school fundraiser.

EAST KERRY MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Spa defeated Firies in Rd1 of the EK Minor Championship last week and await the draw for the semi-finals which are scheduled to take place this weekend. Fixture details to be announced.

  

TG4 ALL STAR NOMINATIONS
Kerry LGFA have received 11 nominations for this year's TG4 All Stars. The shortlist of nominees was announced during the week and includes Kerry players Ciara Butler, Eilís Lynch, Kayleigh Cronin, Aishling O’Connell, Emma Costello, Cáit Lynch, Lorraine Scanlon, Anna Galvin, Niamh Carmody, Síofra O’Shea and Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh. The 2022 TG4 All Star team will be announced at a gala banquet at The Bonnington Dublin Hotel on Saturday, November 19th. Congrats to all.

 

UP & ACTIVE HALLOWEEN CAMP
The Up & Active Halloween Camp will take place from Wednesday Nov 2nd to Friday Nov 4th at the Spa GAA club grounds. This camp is for primary school children and will run from 9am to 1pm each day. SEAMUS O’DONOGHUE IS THE KILLARNEY-LONDON PERSON OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Seamus O'Donoghue, Mill Road, who has been selected as the Killarney-London Person of the Year! The Killarney-London Reunion took place last Saturday at the Dromhall Hotel. It was the first time the reunion took place since 2019 and is also the first time the event took place in Killarney.

 

SPA KILLARNEY HANDBALL CLUB
Spa Killarney Handball Club is starting their new year again and new members are welcome to join. Meet on Mondays and Fridays at 7pm at the Spa clubhouse and membership is €50 (or €30 for Spa GAA members).
