SENIOR LADIES JUNIOR A CHAMPIONSHIP RD2
The Spa Senior Ladies were out again on Sunday 4th September against Laune Rangers in Spa. Playing conditions were good in general but there was a strong wind. The Spa Ladies put in yet another great performance and dominated the game from the start. They played a fantastic game of football and led by 4 points at the half time whistle.
The Spa Senior Ladies had the wind on their side for the second half and they made good use of it and racked up the scores. Laune Rangers never gave up but Spa were the stronger side on the day. They played with great intensity and played great attacking football. They worked tirelessly throughout the game to secure the win in this year's Junior A County Championship.
The final score Spa 3-25 to Laune Rangers 2-10.

CO MINOR B CHAMPIONSHIP RD1
Our minors travelled to Ballyduff on Saturday afternoon for the first round of the 2022 Minor B Club Championships. It was a close game throughout and although Ballyduff had a narrow lead at half time, some good team play earned Spa a victory in the end. Spa started well and with points from Aidan Cronin (2) and Luke O'Neill finding the net late in the opening quarter, Spa jumped into a 1-2 to 0-1 lead. Ballyduff gradually settled into the game and quickly had the sides level. Aidan Cronin (2) and Timothy Moynihan added more points late in the half but Ballyduff got in for a goal right on half time. At the break Spa were behind at 1-5 to 1-7.
Spa had a much stronger second half and with scores from Aidan Cronin, Oran Daly and Joey McCarthy the sides were soon level at 1-8 apiece. Spa missed some chances but points from Timothy Moynihan (2) and Luke O'Neill (2) gave us a three point lead at 1-12 to 1-9 going in to the final few minutes. Final points from Aidan Cronin and Luke O'Neill closed out the game with Spa home to Moyvane next Saturday at 4pm in the semi-final.

First half scores from Mikey Moynihan (2), Michael Kearney and Donagh Fahy had Spa trailing 0-4 to 1-6 at half time.
A much stronger second half performance, and goals in the final quarter from Donagh Fahy and Thomas Cronin, had the sides level at 2-7 to 1-10 as the game was coming to an end. Both sides were chasing the victory but a late goal, and last score of the the day, for Beaufort saw the home side win out by 2-10 to 2-7.

U13 EAST KERRY DIVISION 2 ROUND 2
Our U13’s welcomed Cordal to Spa last week and both teams served up a cracking game of football. Spa started the brighter with a goal in the opening minute, however cordal answered back with some fine scores of their own, however the first half belonged to Spa and pressed home their advantage and lead at half time 2-6 to 1-4.
The second half started just as the first half finished with some super scores from both sides, however the decisive score of the game came mid way through the second half when Spa hit their 3rd goal. Some more super football was played by both side with Spa edging out their opponents on a score line of 3-10 to 1-12.
All 21 players in squad played their part, thanks to Cordal for a very entertaining game and to Eddie Walsh for refereeing the tie.
Next up we are away to Dr. Crokes on the 09th of September
