Our Spa minors travelled to Gneeveguilla last night for the first round of the East Kerry minor league where both sides served up a very entertaining draw.

The teams were evenly matched in the first half, Gneeveguilla with a 0-9 to 0-7 lead at the half time break. Gneeveguilla goaled early in the second half and extended their lead to seven points at 1-11 to 0-7 before the water break. Spa however, put in a strong final quarter and a goal brought them right back in contention, and the game finished all square at 1-13 apiece.

The fixtures have changed in Group 3 and Spa will have a BYE in the next round on Monday July 5th and will be home to Cordal/Scartaglin on Monday July 12th.
