U13 Division 1 result:

Laune Rangers 2-15 Spa 2-11.

Our U13’s closed out the first phase of the county league division 1 with a trip to killorglin to play Laune Rangers. Playing against a strong breeze in the first half our boys had to battle hard to stay in the game and picked off some great scores. HT Laune Rangers 1-11 Spa 0-3. The second began with spa on the front foot however, we conceded an early goal to put us further behind. To their credit our boys slowly got into their stride and started to reel off some great scores, the turning point came mid way through the second half when a sweeping move ended up with the ball being driven to the Killorglin net… the boys rallied again and followed the goal with two more points…. The gap was reduced to 3 pts when again we found the back of the killorglin net… the closing stages saw our lads push for an equalising score and we very unlucky not to get it. Killorglin closed out the game with a fisted point at the death to leave the final score Laune Ranger 2-15 Spa 2-11. After a difficult start to the campaign there will be a reseeding for this group where they will be looking to push on in the second half of the league campaign.
