This is a new weekly update designed to keep members informed on what’s happening across the club. Each week, it will bring together a recap of recent news, along with important reminders and key information for the week ahead.

From the Club This Week

• Tickets are now available for the Spa GAA Awards Night (€35). To purchase, please contact one of the following committee members: Andrew Garnett, Ivor Flynn, Adrian O'Sullivan, Anne Holland, Triona Mangan or Mathilda McCarthy.

• A huge thanks to Evelyn and Pa Murphy for generously purchasing stretch bands for our Spa U14 Girls & Boys. A fantastic addition to training, supporting mobility, strength and warm-ups!

Scór na bPáistí entries are now being invited for primary school children interested in taking part in this fun and inclusive GAA cultural competition, with a wide range of categories to suit all interests. • Following our recent AGM, the Spa GAA Executive Committee for 2026 has now been confirmed. You can see this year’s committee by clicking HERE

• We’re doing great in the Irish Life Steps Challenge and are already around 50% of the way to our 4,000km target. Once the target is reached, we’ll be entered into a draw with a chance to win €2,500 for the club — so if you’re registered, keep building up those steps!

• Our Men’s & Ladies Football teams returned to training this week – Best of luck to both teams in their preparations ahead of the new season. 

The Week Ahead

Best of luck to our Scór na nÓg Rince Seit team as they represent Spa GAA and Kerry in the All-Ireland Final on Saturday, 24th January at the INEC, Killarney! Munster champions heading into the final, the team will proudly continue Spa’s strong Scór tradition on the national stage. We wish the dancers and mentors every success and encourage all members and supporters to come along and show their support! Find out more on our website HERE

Ireland Lights Up continues this Tuesday night, 7pm at Spa GAA, with the floodlights on for a relaxed and welcoming walk as part of the Healthy Clubs Step Challenge. Everyone is welcome to come along and get active together.

While not part of the Ireland Lights Up initiative, the floodlights will also be on this Thursday night from 7pm during senior training, and everyone is welcome to make use of the walking track.
