Our Spa Rince Seit (set dancing) team took to the national stage on Saturday as they competed in the Scór na nÓg All-Ireland Final at the Gleneagle INEC Arena, Killarney.
While the result didn’t go our way on the day, our dancers delivered a brilliant performance, doing Spa GAA, Munster and Kerry proud in front of a home crowd. Having been crowned Munster champions earlier in the season, the team showed composure, skill and confidence on the biggest stage of all.
This group is a relatively new team, and Saturday marked an important milestone in what promises to be a very exciting journey. The experience gained on the All-Ireland stage will stand to them in the years ahead, and there is no doubt that this is only the beginning for this talented group of young dancers.
You can watch their brilliant performance on the TG4 YouTube ChannelHERE — the Spa Rince Seit takes the stage at 4:33:40.
As well as the performance itself, the team thoroughly enjoyed the occasion, making memories that will last long beyond the competition. A huge thank you is extended to all who travelled to the INEC to support the team, creating a fantastic atmosphere and showing the strength of support behind Scór and cultural activities within the club.
Spa GAA would also like to sincerely thank the mentors and coaches — Tríona, Mairéad and Ann Mangan — for their dedication and hard work throughout the year, along with the families who continue to give their unwavering support.
The team who represented Spa and Munster with such pride were: Caitlin Hickey, Aisling Gallagher, Laura O’Sullivan, Jennifer Rea, Aidan Hickey, Eoin Brosnan, Lennon Cronin and Colm O’Connor.
Well done to all involved on a superb achievement and performance on the All-Ireland stage.
