From the Club This Week
• Spa GAA’s Annual Awards Night took place in Hilliards on Saturday night and was another hugely enjoyable and well-attended occasion. With special guests including GAA President Jarlath Burns, outstanding award winners and memorable moments throughout, it was a fitting celebration of a great year for the club. • Huge congratulations to Spa player Ciara O’Sullivan on being selected for the Kerry minor team. Everyone in Spa is incredibly proud of her and wishes Ciara and her teammates the very best of luck for the year ahead!
• We were delighted to welcome a very special guest to Spa on Saturday as Brian Fenton brought his Raheny team to Killarney for a pre-season challenge match. A seven-time All-Ireland Senior Football Champion and two-time GAA Footballer of the Year, Brian also has strong family roots in Spa, with his father hailing from the parish. A huge thank you to Raheny for making the trip
• Kerry GAA will be running a Referees Foundation Course over 3 nights in late February or early March 2026. If you are interested in attending, please contact club secretary Eileen Aherne on 085 8414804. The course is for over 18s only.
• Huge thanks to everyone who took part in the Irish Life Steps Challenge — thanks to your incredible effort, we’re delighted to say we’ve reached our 4,000km target! This means the club will now be entered into the draw, with a chance to win the €2,500 top prize.
