It’s a hugely exciting time for Scór in Spa, with plenty of activity at both Senior and Juvenile level over the coming weeks.
Senior Scór – County Final Success
Our Scór Sinsir Tráth na gCeist team competed in the County Final this week and delivered a fantastic performance, finishing in 3rd place overall.
While they won’t progress further in this year’s competition, it is a brilliant achievement to finish on the county podium. Well done to the team for the dedication, preparation and pride shown in representing Spa.
The remainder of the Senior Scór County Final takes place this Saturday night, when Spa will be represented in Rince Foirne and Recitation. We look forward to cheering on our performers and will share full results following the event. The very best of luck to our competitors!
Scór na bPáistí – Best of Luck!
Attention now also turns to our younger members, with Scór na bPáistí Tráth na gCeist taking place next Wednesday, 3rd March in Abbeydorney.
We are delighted to have a Spa team competing and we wish them the very best of luck. Enjoy the occasion and do yourselves proud!
All-Ireland Stage Awaits in Croke Park
In addition to Scór Sinsir, the same Spa quiz team has achieved something very special on the national stage.
Through the Glór na nGael / Conradh na Gaeilge Tráth na gCeist as Gaeilge, Spa has qualified as one of just three teams representing Munster in the All-Ireland Final, which takes place on Saturday 7th March in Croke Park.
This is a tremendous honour for the team and for the club, and a fantastic recognition of their knowledge of Irish language and culture. We are extremely proud to see Spa represented on such a prestigious stage.
We wish the team every success in Croke Park – a brilliant achievement already, and hopefully another memorable day ahead!
More updates and photos will follow after Saturday night’s Senior Scór competitions. As always, thank you to our Scór officer, mentors and families for the ongoing support of Scór in Spa.
