Welcome to the 2026 Season
We are delighted to welcome both new and returning players and families back to the Spa GAA Academy for another exciting season. Our academy is all about fun, learning new skills, making friends and enjoying Gaelic games in a positive and supportive environment.
Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we hope everyone enjoys the experience and fully embraces the academy. A big welcome also to all parents and guardians — feel free to make use of the on-site facilities, grab yourself a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere on Saturday mornings!
We wish all our young players the very best for the season ahead!
When & Where
The Spa GAA Academy takes place every Saturday from 10:00am – 11:00am at Spa GAA grounds. Eircode V93 KN53.
Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to find your group and get settled before the session begins.
Parking
We have excellent parking facilities at Spa and volunteers will be on hand to help guide cars on arrival.
⚠️ Please drive slowly and with caution in the car park, particularly due to the location of our Juvenile pitch. Parents are also asked to keep a close eye on children at all times around the grounds.
Age Groups
Players take part in groups based on their year of birth.
ABCs: Born 2021, 2022, 2023
U6: Born 2020
U8: Born 2018 & 2019
U10: Born 2016 & 2017
U12: Born 2014 & 2015
Pitch Locations
Each age group has a designated area for their activities. See below the pitch plan.
What to Do When You Arrive
If you are already familiar with Spa and have attended before, you can simply go straight to your group’s pitch area.
If you are new to the academy, visiting for the first time, or need any help, please go to the coffee dock area when you arrive. Our team of coaches and volunteers will be there to welcome you, answer any questions and point you in the right direction. The coffee dock is located on the left hand side as you enter the grounds.
What to Wear
Depending on the weather, our ABCs group may sometimes move into the Sports Hall, but based on this week’s forecast we expect all groups to be on the pitch.
Boots are recommended if you have them. Runners are also perfectly fine, but be aware the pitch may be a little wet.
Be sure to wrap up warm, especially during the early weeks of the season. As we all know, we can experience all four seasons in the one session!
Our club shop will be open between 10-11am for anyone wanting to purchase new clothing.
Team Communication – ClubZap
We use the ClubZap app for all team communications and updates.
If you are not already in your group chat, please see the links below to join the correct group. You will need to download the ClubZap app first, but the below link will take you to the right place. If you need any help setting this up, our volunteers will be happy to assist you on Saturday morning.
