Spa Minor Ladies made it two wins in two on Thursday Evening.
Laune Rangers B 2-3 Spa 6-11
Report by Liadh Tobin
Our second minor game of the season took place away to Laune Rangers B on a very wet and windy day, making conditions difficult for both teams. Despite the challenging weather, our girls came out in force and showed great determination and skill right from the start.
We settled into the game quickly and played some excellent football in the first half. There was great movement and teamwork throughout the team, which created several scoring opportunities. We finished off some lovely scores and went in at halftime leading 2–9 to 2–0, putting in a very strong opening performance.
Spa came out even stronger in the second half, continuing the great teamwork and work rate that had been on display throughout the game. The girls created some fantastic chances, converting them into well-worked scores and goals. Their effort, communication, and support for one another were evident across the pitch.
The game finished with a convincing 6–11 to 2–3 victory. It was great to see all the girls getting valuable playing time and contributing to a very positive team performance. We have a bye next weekend, and the team now looks forward to their next game in a couple of weeks when we take on Milltown/Castlemaine.
