Congratulations to locals Tim Ryan and Eugene McSweeney on being crowned winners of the Kerry 31 Card Championship Final, held in the Arbutus Hotel last Friday.
The winners took home the 31 Card Draw Championship Trophy along with €700 each in prize money.
Starting with 64 teams, the competition saw players travel from all over the county — including Cahersiveen, Glenflesk, Kilgarvan, Kilcummin & Waterville for this prestigious competition.
Well done and thanks to the competition organisers from Spa - Seanie Kelliher, Dave Herlihy, Paddy B Lynch and Paddy O’Keeffe.
The 31 card game is played weekly on a social basis in our clubhouse, a very important social outlet for members of our community.
Regular competitions are held throughout the year which help raise funds for important local causes.
Thanks again to everyone involved, and well done to Tim and Eugene on their county final victory.
