Our Spa Minor Ladies continued their 100% league record on Friday evening.

Spa 4-12
Milltown-Castlemaine 4-7

A very windy but dry evening in Spa GAA set the scene for a great Minor game between Spa and Milltown/Castlemaine.

Spa started strongly and after a competitive first half they went in leading by three points. It was a tightly contested game with both sides working hard around the pitch.

Milltown/Castlemaine began the second half brightly and quickly reduced the gap to just a point. Soon after, Spa were dealt a blow when one of our players received a yellow card and had to spend time on the sideline. Despite being down a player, Spa showed fantastic determination and teamwork, working tirelessly for each other across the field.

Not long after, Milltown/Castlemaine also saw a player receive a yellow card and go to the sideline, evening things up again. From there Spa really found their rhythm, finishing the game strongly with some excellent scores and great team play.

In the end, Spa ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of 4-12 to 4-7, making it three wins on the bounce for the team.

A huge thanks to Mags Cronin who stepped in to help coach tonight — it was great to have her expertise!
