Huge well done and thanks to our club members Teresa Morris (Health & Wellbeing Officer) and Liadh Tobin (Senior Player & Coach with our Girls U16 & Minor Teams) who, along with Ramona Keogh of the Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership, appeared tonight on Terrace Talk on Radio Kerry, hosted by Ivan Hurley.

Ramona opened the discussion with a really informative overview of the Activator Walking Pole Programme, which gets underway at our Community Walking Track this week, highlighting the many benefits of the programme she delivers across the county in her role with the partnership.

Teresa followed with an excellent introduction to Spa GAA and the important role the club plays in the local community. She also spoke about her role as Health & Wellbeing Officer and the wide range of initiatives and activities currently taking place within the club, of which there are many!

Liadh rounded off the feature, speaking proudly about Spa’s strong tradition in Scór and Irish culture, and the success enjoyed over the years. She then highlighted the thriving football academy, the brilliant atmosphere around the club on Saturday mornings, and how it has become a real social hub for families. Liadh also spoke about the hugely popular Killarney Club 7s, now heading into its 5th year this June Bank Holiday weekend, and praised the volunteers whose hard work continues to drive its success.

Across the 25-minute feature, one theme stood out above all else — community — and the central role Spa GAA plays in Killarney and the surrounding area. 💙💛

The episode will be available on the Radio Kerry website over the next couple of days, and we’ll share the link in this article.
