Spa travelled to Tralee for the final stages of the U15 Féile and, for the third consecutive week, delivered another excellent set of performances.
In the semi-final against Northern Gaels, Spa dominated throughout but were unable to fully reflect that control on the scoreboard. Leading 0-4 to 1-0 at half-time, Spa showed great determination in the second half and held on strongly to secure a deserved 1-6 to 1-2 victory.
Spa then faced a very strong Ballyduff side in the final. Ballyduff started brightly and built up a solid lead by half-time. Despite playing against the breeze in the second half, Spa grew into the contest and dominated for long periods. However, Ballyduff stood firm defensively and held out for a 2-8 to 0-6 win.
Spa can be extremely proud of their performances throughout the competition and of the spirit and determination they showed all the way to the final.
