Spa made the trip back west on Friday evening to face Corca Dhuibhne. The game opened in a defensive fashion, with the first score not coming until around the ten-minute mark when Ciara Lawlor got Spa up and running, but Corca Dhuibhne responded immediately with a goal.

Further points from Spa kept them in touch, but a decisive spell saw Corca Dhuibhne strike for two quick goals. Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh added points from frees for the home side, while Spa were unlucky at times in front of goal, registering a number of wides.

Spa started the second half well with an early score, but another goal from Corca Dhuibhne kept them firmly in control. The home side pushed on with further scores to seal the win.

Spa showed great determination throughout and kept battling until the final whistle.
