Spa U14 girls produced a gritty and determined performance on home soil to secure a hard earned victory over Churchill in an exciting and closely contested encounter.

Spa showed great composure throughout the opening half, working the ball well and taking their scores to hold a narrow lead at the break. Churchill, however, kept the pressure on and ensured a tense and competitive second half.

In midfield, Annabelle delivered an outstanding display, bringing energy and drive to the contest, while Lilly matched her effort with an equally impressive performance. Between the posts, Cara proved a vital presence, making several excellent saves to keep Spa in front at crucial moments.

The defensive unit once again provided a strong foundation, with Sophie, the Daly sisters and Emily all putting in superb performances to limit the Churchill attack.

Team captain Erin led by example from start to finish, inspiring those around her, while the entire squad showed great character and determination throughout.

In the end, Spa held on to claim a deserved one-point win on a final scoreline of 2-5 to 1-7.
