Spa faced a strong Milltown/Castlemaine side last Sunday evening (7th) in a tough encounter played in challenging wet and windy conditions.
The first half was closely contested, with Spa creating several scoring opportunities but unfortunately unable to convert them on the scoreboard. In contrast, Milltown/Castlemaine were more clinical in front of goal and went into the break holding a four-point advantage.
Playing with the benefit of a strong wind in the second half, Milltown/Castlemaine made a fast start, registering a number of early goals that allowed them to take firm control of the game. Despite this setback, Spa showed great resilience and determination, continuing to battle hard right through to the final whistle.
While the result did not go in Spa’s favour, the effort, spirit and commitment shown by the team throughout were outstanding and something they can be very proud of.
Well done, girls. 👏💙
