Spa Ladies delivered an excellent performance in an 11-a-side challenge in Beaufort on Tuesday evening, 2nd July, where they faced the hosts Beaufort and Glenflesk in glorious sunshine.
First up was a clash with Beaufort, and Spa produced a strong display, running out convincing winners on a scoreline of 4-4 to 0-9.
The second game against Glenflesk proved a much closer affair. Spa found themselves four points down with just five minutes remaining, but the girls dug deep and refused to give up. Their persistence paid off in dramatic fashion with a last-minute goal, sealing a 2-7 to 1-9 victory and a second win of the evening.
Well done to all the players for travelling — great numbers on the night provided plenty of options for substitutions throughout. It was a superb team effort all round and a great evening’s action for Spa. 💙💛
