The Spa U10 boys hosted Firies for a set of go games at home on a sunny Thursday evening, July 2nd.
Perfect summer conditions and a strong turnout from both clubs helped create a lively and uplifting atmosphere on the sideline. The sunshine seemed to energise the boys, who served up a great game filled with positive, attacking football and plenty of entertaining moments.
Firies arrived with an energetic and talented squad that tested Spa with quick transitions, accurate passing, and committed challenges. Their positive approach led to some excellent back-and-forth play that kept everyone engaged from start to finish.
The home team rose to the occasion impressively. Spa showed strong leadership on the pitch, with confident catching, surging runs through the middle, crisp distribution, and disciplined defending. It was great to see the full panel playing with freedom, supporting each other, and growing in confidence with every passage of play. The coaches were particularly pleased with the overall standard and teamwork on display.
Both teams contributed to a highly enjoyable evening of Gaelic games, marked by fair play, respect, and plenty of smiles despite the competitive edge.
