Congratulations to our many Spa members who enjoyed a hugely successful weekend at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Belfast, representing CCÉ Cill Airne.

The Senior Ladies Set, featuring Spa members Erin Holland, Tríona Mangan, Katie O’Connor, Anna O’Connor, Mairead Mangan, Meghann Cronin, Katie Cronin and Kate Lawlor, claimed their ninth All-Ireland title.

There was further success in the inaugural Over 35s Ladies Set competition, with Spa members Karen Buckley, Joanne O’Connor, Ann Marie Hickey and Mags Cronin joining Laura Cronin, Siobhan Gallivan and Eimear O’Riordan to take the All-Ireland title.

There were also excellent second-place finishes for the U12 Mixed Set, 12–15 Mixed Set and Over 35s Mixed Set, adding to a hugely successful weekend for CCÉ Cill Airne.

Further success came in the Céilí dancing competitions, with Spa members Kate Lawlor and Ailbhe Gallagher, along with trainer Maureen Hegarty, joining Maeve Kelleher, Laura Buckley, Aislinn O’Donovan, Lauren Horgan, Ellen Burke and Sarah O’Shea to win the All-Ireland Céilí title.

The group also finished runners-up in the 4-Hand Céilí competition, making it another hugely successful Fleadh for our members.
