The Spa Senior Ladies begin their Bon Secours Kerry County Championship Junior Premier campaign this Sunday when they welcome neighbours Killarney Legion to Spa at 12pm.

The ladies will then travel to Ballymac on Sunday, September 6th (exact details TBC). 

Spa will be looking to build on last year’s championship campaign, which saw the team defeat ISG in the quarter-final before losing out to eventual champions Cromane in the semi-final.

The team will also take plenty of confidence from an excellent league campaign, which saw Spa crowned Donal Curtin Division 2 League champions following victory over Laune Rangers in the final.

With three teams in Group 2, Spa are guaranteed at least a quarter-final place.

Each team plays the other teams in their group, with the group standings determining the route through to the knockout stages.

The winner of each group goes directly through to the semi-finals.

The teams finishing second and third in each group will contest the quarter-finals, meaning there is plenty to play for throughout the group stage.

Quarter-finals

The quarter-finals are currently scheduled for Sunday, September 13th.

Quarter-final 1: Second in Group 1 v Third in Group 2

Quarter-final 2: Second in Group 2 v Third in Group 1

Semi-finals

The semi-finals are currently scheduled for Sunday, September 20th.

With a place in the semi-finals at stake and another championship campaign getting underway, there is plenty to play for our Senior Ladies.
