Spa’s final game of the year ended in defeat to Legion in the East Kerry semi-final. Legion started much brighter, racing into an early lead and extending their advantage as half-time approached.

Spa battled hard in the second half and never threw in the towel. Two goals apiece from Jack Gleeson and Mark Corkery, along with one from Liam Moynihan, kept Spa fighting, but Legion continued to respond at the other end and ran out worthy winners.

Despite the loss, there were plenty of positives. Eoin Brosnan, Jack Gleeson and Torin Lyne defended very well throughout, while Eric Corcoran, Mark Corkery and Liam Moynihan worked tirelessly up front.

There is plenty to build on from the season, with the majority of the panel underage again in 2027. Best wishes to Brendan McHugh and James Marshall, who are both recovering from long-term injuries.
