Spa GAA is proud to support the annual Wave of Light initiative this Thursday, 15th October, joining communities across Ireland in remembering babies who have sadly died during pregnancy, at birth or in infancy.
From 7pm to 8pm, the community walking track at Spa GAA will be lit up to mark the occasion. Club members, families and the wider community are warmly invited to come along for a gentle walk or a quiet moment of reflection. Whether remembering someone special or simply showing support, everyone is welcome.
As part of this nationwide initiative, families across Ireland are also encouraged to light a candle at 7pm in memory of the babies and children who are sadly no longer with us.
Organised by Féileacáin (Butterfly), the Wave of Light initiative is supported by Ár Réaltaí Beaga and also raises awareness of the campaign for a permanent memorial in Croke Park, recognising the babies and children who have died and their place within the GAA community.
Spa GAA is honoured to play its part in this meaningful initiative and encourages everyone in the community to join us on Thursday evening in remembrance and support.
