Spa welcomed Firies GAA on Sunday afternoon in the first round of the O'Sullivan Cup Junior Championship.

Firies opened up a strong lead early on and with points from Michael Kearney (3) and Mikey Moynihan (‘45), Spa were trailing 0-4 to 2-8 at half time. Adam Dennehy scored the Spa goal as the second half began and points from John Falvey, Thomas Cronin (2), Michael Kearney and Mikey Moynihan followed, but Firies won out in the end. Final score Spa 1-9 Firies 2-14.

Spa now go through to the Bill Tangney Cup with next round fixtures to be confirmed
