CCE Cill Áirne was very successful at the All Ireland Fleadh in Drogheda over the weekend, winning three Céilí and nine set titles.
This was all possible with great coaches, excellent dancers, supportive parents and supporters. Our All Ireland winning coaches, Triona and Mairead Mangan competed winning the double in Senior Ladies and mixed sets. They also coached their winning teams and not an easy task in two different venues and trying to get their teams competition ready along with their own practice. Our musicians Sean O Laoithe and Damien Mullane were top class.
Ann Mangan was also on hand to help with her watchful expert eye and secretary of CCE Cill Airne. Sharon O'Connor was on her feet all day as our professional hairdresser.
In fact, the Comhaltas Kerry Branch brought huge success back to the Kingdom with a record total of seventeen titles in gold, silver and bronze in the ceili/set dancing competitions (Kilcummin, Sliabh Luachra and Ballydonoghue).
