U-12 Boys
Played their final group game of the county league, phase one, away to Renard last Sunday. Spa Blue, won by a score of 4-17 to 5-12. Spa gold, won by a score of 5-30 to 1-4. Fantastic performance by both teams who played to a very high standard.Training is going well for the boys, as the results are showing. Training continues Wednesday evenings 6-7pm.
U-14 Boys
Our U-14s played Dromid/Waterville away in the county league last Wednesday. Spa started slowly trailing by 3-1 to 0-3 early on, until Timmy Moynihan crashed home a goal followed by 2 more by Harry White and Eoghan Mulvany. Giving the boys in blue a three point lead at half time. The South Kerry boys struck first with in the 2nd half with 2 well taken goals. However Timmy Moynihan and Eoghan Mulvany kept the scoreboard ticking over, till Sean O' Sullivan was pulled down providing the equaliser. A further goal by man of the match Timmy Moynihan gave Spa the vital score as they ran out 4-9 to 5-4 victors. Special mention must be given to outstanding displays in defence by Sean Hickey and Bailey O'Sullivan and Eoghan in attack. A result that keeps Spa in the hunt for a Semi Final berth.
