East Kerry Minors are County Champions

Well done to East Kerry minors on a great victory over Mid Kerry. Red hot favourites going into the final but Mid Kerry gave it their all throughout the game. East Kerry just had the edge all over the field and when the subs were introduced all contributed to the victory. Legion Goal keeper Conor McCarthy, was solid between the posts and pulled off three excellent saves along with the excellent fielding on the goal mouth. Dan O'Brien, Glenflesk, was excellent and with his skill and experience and deserved his accolade of Man of the Match. Captain, Spa man, David Spillane was superb from start to finish, scoring 1-2 with numerous assists. A proud day for the club bringing home the Frank King Cup to Spa. A bon fire welcomed the young team to Spa to a great crowd.  Spa Chairman, Gerard Mangan thanked  everyone and said it was great to host the Captain's homecoming to Spa. Manager Seamus Moynihan praised all his players, paying special tribute to the five Spa players: David Spillane, Dara Moynihan, Eoghan Cronin, Niall McCarthy and Dion Marcos.  Seamus said that the players took pride in their East Kerry jersey and the talent in East Kerry is in a really strong at the moment.
