Club Notes (April 19th 2021)

MUNSTER CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURES ANNOUNCED:
Munster Football Championship:
Quarter Finals: Kerry v Clare and Waterford v Limerick
Semi-Finals: Tipperary v Clare/Kerry (A) and Cork v Waterford/Limerick (B)
Finals: Winner of A v Winner of B.

Munster Hurling Championship:
Quarter Finals: Clare v Waterford
Semi-Finals: Limerick v Cork (A) and Tipperary v Clare/Waterford (B)
Finals: Winner of A v Winner of B.

Provincial Championships start June 26th/27th.

The entire inter-county fixtures programme (league and championship) will be run off in a 20-week period starting May 8th/9th and guarantees a minimum of five games for each Senior County Football and Hurling team with all bar three counties guaranteed six games in hurling.

The 2021 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship will be played as a straight knock-out competition from the provincial series forward. There will be no Qualifiers and New York and London will not be involved.

For the 2020 & 2021 Minor and the 2021 U-20 Championships details will be finalised when there is clarity on a return to training/play date.

It is important to note that the GAA still does not have permission to return to club training or games with only training in pods of 14 allowed in the North.

 

ALLIANZ NATIONAL LEAGUE FIXTURES:
The Allianz National Football League Fixtures were announced last week and are as follows:

  • May 15th: Kerry v Galway (home)

  • May 23rd: Kerry v Dublin (neutral venue)

  • May 30th: Kerry v Roscommon (away)

  

TG4 LIDL LADIES NATIONAL LEAGUE
The TG4 Lidl Ladies National League Fixtures have also been announced and the Kerry Ladies play in Division 2A as follows:

  • May 23rd: Kerry v Meath (away)

  • May 30th: Kerry v Clare (home)

  • June 6th: Kerry v Wexford (home) 

IMPORTANT CALL FOR REGISTRATION  
With club activity starting to resume from next week April 26th, we are reminding everyone that 2021 registration must be completed in advance through www.spagaa.com.

Registration for the year ahead is required for all members and this year, due to the ongoing restrictions, we are asking everyone to sign up online through the link to clubforce (click here).

NATHAN’S WALK DARKNESS INTO LIGHT 2021
This year the annual Darkness Into Light event will take place on Saturday May 8th. Everyone is encouraged to join Pieta House and Electric Ireland for Nathan's Walk 2021 and give the gift of hope to those impacted by suicide and self-harm.

Join in any way you can – walk, swim, bike - and simply share your sunrise moment in your own unique way on 8th May in your own area in your own bubbles.

CE Scheme Vacancy for a Grounds Person in Spa GAA Club - Details available on jobsireland.ie or the local Intreo Office.

The job is 19.5 hours per week and applications can be submitted on the jobsireland.ie website or email Siobhan at kaslltd.project@yahoo.com.

The job involves clubhouse maintenance, pitch lining, hedge trimming, grass cutting, painting, car park duties and general caretaking.
