Club Notes (February 11th 2019)

Coiste na nÓg 

Our ABC's, U6s and U8s continue to train every Saturday morning, starting at 10am. Registration is ongoing and U6s are free. New members are always welcome.

The U12 and U14 Girls have returned to training indoors on Wednesday evenings at 18.00pm.

East Kerry U21 Championship:

Spa 1-7 Firies 1-14
Spa will now go through to the B Championship semi-final and await the draw to know who their opponents will be.

Upcoming Fixtures:

  • East Kerry Senior League Round 2: Spa v Firies has been brought forward to Tuesday February the 12th at 20.00pm in Spa (under lights)
  • Co. Minor League Round 1: Spa v Skellig Rangers/Valentia (away) next Saturday February 16th. Throw in 15.00pm. 

Scór na nÓg 

Wishing the BEST OF LUCK to our Set Dancers and their coaches Mairead and Triona Mangan, competing in the All Ireland Finals of Scór na nÓg in Castlebar on Saturday February 16th.

Erin Holland, Orlaith Spillane, Elena O'Donoghue, Aoife O'Donoghue, Gary O'Sullivan, Dara Brosnan, Diarmuid O'Donovan, Colm O'Connor and Cian O'Sullivan will be representing both Kerry and Munster this weekend as the club compete for their third All Ireland Set Dancing title. 

Safe travels to everyone heading to Mayo this weekend!

Registration

Registration for 2019 is ongoing and members can sign up at the clubhouse reception on Thursday nights from 19.00-21.00pm, or registration is also available online.

All members - Adult and Juvenile - are advised to register as soon as possible, and note the closing date of March 31st.

Operation Transformation

This Thursday February 14th will be Week 5 of the Operation Transformation Ireland Lights Up walk at the clubhouse. Everyone in the community is invited to come along and join in and walk the 1km looped trail around the club grounds, with refreshments afterwards in the clubhouse.

The walking trail is lit up every Thursday night between 19.00pm and 21.00pm until February 21st.

Huge congrats to both Kilcummin and Beaufort on their victories in the Intermediate and Junior All Ireland Finals in Croke Park last weekend!

Congratulations also to the Kerry senior team and management on their victory over Dublin in Round 3 of the National League, especially our Man of the Match Dara Moynihan

Good luck to Dr Crokes travelling to Semple Stadium, Thurles on Saturday February 16th for the All Ireland Senior Club Championship semi-final against Mullinalaghta St Columba's of Longford. Throw-in at 15.30pm

Spa Killarney Handball Club

The AGM of the Spa Killarney Handball Club will take place at 20.00pm on Monday February 25th in the clubhouse.

The Handball Club is open to everyone over 18 years of age, and they meet every Friday night in the Sports Hall from 20.00pm - 22.00pm.

New members, male and female, always welcome.

31 Card Drive Final

Reminder that the Finals of the 31 Card Drive Championship of Kerry will take place on Friday, March 22nd in the Torc Hotel.
