On Saturday April 9th the Kerry Sports Academy will be the venue for a coaching conference for all Gaelic football coaches interested in improving how and what they deliver to their players.
There will be 5 workshops on the day -
1Creating a positive coaching environment – using fun games and team building activities for all age groups
Developing better individual and team defenders – from the basics of working on footwork and body position through tag games for children to tackle technique and team structure for adult players
Goalkeeping and kickouts – how do develop goalkeepers / learning to kick the ball off the ground for kids and the importance of kickouts in the adult game
Heads-up football (drills v games) – creating training sessions that allow children, youths and adults to be better decision makers through games-based coaching
Developing better forward play – from the basics of shooting technique; drills and games to creating an effective attack for your team
