The Junior Co Leagues commenced on Friday night and Spa travelled to Beaufort for the first game.

Spa opened the scoring with points from Paul Cahill and Ryan Kelliher but Beaufort soon had 1-2 on the board. Spa added extra scores from Jamie Spillane (2) Ryan Kelliher and Paul Cahill but the home side responded with five more points before the break. At half time, Beaufort led 0-6 to 1-7.

Ryan Kelliher goaled on the restart. Following another exchange of points between the sides, Michael Horgan netted the second goal for Spa to put us ahead for the first time in the game midway through the second half. Beaufort made a swift reply, adding a further 1-5 to their tally with Paul Cahill getting Spa’s only remaining point.
