Kerry GAA have released a draft fixtures calendar for club football & hurling

Provisional dates are now known for the 2021 local hurling and football season.

A draft fixture list has been distributed, with clubs asked for feedback ahead of any potential changes.

The County Senior Football Championship is due to start on Sunday October 24th, with Round 2 one week later. Semi-finals are pencilled in for Sunday November 14th while the Final could be on November 21st or December 4th.

The Club Football Championships would begin with games on Sundays September 5th and 12th. There would be first or second round matches on Sunday September 19th, with games in Rounds 2 and 3 the following Saturday. Round 3 would be completed on Sunday October 3rd, with ¼ Finals a week later. There could be semi-finals and finals on Sundays November 14th and 21st, then finals on November 28th and December 4th.

Time constraints mean the CCC is unable to include a Losers Round in the County Championship and ¼ Finals in the Club Championships. Clubs have been asked which of the two they would prefer. Senior clubs have also been asked about potential semi-finals in the Senior Club Championship.

Matches are still outstanding from last year’s Club Championships and 3 dates have been put aside for these; Sunday August 22nd, Saturdays September 4th and 11th.

There will be County Football League rounds on Sunday June 13, Sun June 20, Sun July 4, Sun July 18 and Sat July 31, with play-offs the following Saturday.

It remains to be seen whether 2 or 3 teams will be promoted and relegated from Divisions.
