In 2011 Pa Murphy organised a fundraiser at our Lá na gClub on May 14th. It was to raise valuable funds for Friends of St Luke’s Hospital, Dublin for Cancer Research and Parkinsons Disease. Members of the Kerry Senior team were on hand to lend their support at the launch in Spa that April.
Many of Pa's friends and family helped out with this huge undertaking. A full days activity was scheduled with the boys and girls medal presentations, a BBQ, music and dancing. The highlight of the day was the head shave, beard shave and the leg & chest waxing. Pa ended the nights entertainment with getting his own head shaved.
A brilliant day full of laughs and a large sum of money raised for two charities. Well done to everyone who attended and was brave enough to get shaved or waxed.
