Last time Spa reached the O'Donoghue Cup final was 1989, winning their 10th East Kerry Senior Championship title after beating Gneeveguilla by 1-8 to 2-3 in a replay in Fitzgerald Stadium.
The teams drew 0-8 apiece in the first game with the replay played as a curtain raiser for the 1989 Co Final!
