Spa 3-12 Milltown / Listry 2-6
The ladies had an excellent result at home to a very strong Milltown/Listry side. The team started very strong with two goals in the opening few minutes from Mags Cronin and Niamh Kearney. Claire Moynihan and Alma O Mahony added to the scoreline along with Saoirse Kelly. Spa were the superior team in the first half holding Milltown/Listry to three scores heading into the second half 3-9 to 1-2.
However, the second half the visitors put the pressure on and scored 1-2 before we registered our first score from the very impressive Niamh Kearney. The excellent work from the defence to the midfield helped us keep our lead and win two valuable points in the league. Our senior ladies played well as a team with a great mixture of experience and youth.
