Not the result we were looking for our opening game but the players and management of Mike Brosnan and Tom Tobin will learn from tonights loss. Castleisland is the favourite to take the title and they looked very impressive with a solid team. However, we made some bad errors and silly mistakes that resulted in scores that we gave away too easy. We can only get stronger as we have a great squad of players.

The introduction of our subs were very beneficial to the team and were hungry to gain their starting position. Saoirse Kelly was outstanding and was constantly fouled resulting with a penalty awarded to her. Niamh Kearney was only delighted to step up and slot the ball past the goalie. Captain Ciara Moynihan kept constant supply of possession to our fowards. Katie O Brien was under pressure but fought hard and defended ferociously throughout.

No doubt with the first game over we look forward to our first home game next Monday at 7.30pm against Finuge/St.Senans.
