Every year at the annual Spa GAA Club Awards Night, the club holds a raffle or collection on the night, and they donate the proceeds to a local charity.

Last year, Ian O'Connell was the worthy recipient and this year the club Awards Committee chose the Kerry-Cork Health Link Bus, part of the Kerry Cancer Support Group. This service is vital to our community as it transports cancer patients receiving treatment in Cork University Hospital.

There was a total of €860 raised at this year's Awards Night, and on hand recently to present the cheque on behalf of the club to representatives of the Kerry-Cork Health Link Bus was Spa GAA Chairman Michael Cronin, Awards Committee members Andrew Garnett and Adrian O Sullivan with the Chairperson of the Kerry Cancer Support Group, Breda Dyland, and fellow volunteers Phil Reidy and Trish Kelly.

The Kerry Cancer Support Group were delighted with the raffle proceeds and thanked the club for their generous donation.
