Spa GAA Club held yet another successful Golf Classic, on Friday July 8, with around 60 teams taking part on the Mahony’s Point Course, Killarney Golf Club.
The golfers played in excellent conditions for attractive prizes and there was high scoring all round.
Team Evan Cronin just edged out Team James Devane by a single Stableford point for first prize, 100 points to 99 points.
Organising committee chairman Billy Morris thanked all the people and teams who supported the event, those who sponsored tee-boxes and, especially, the main sponsors, Killarney Oaks, Killarney Oils and Tricel.
“It was a tremendous effort by all involved and our hard-working committee help run a key fund-raising event for the Spa club. Many club members helped out on the day and we’re also grateful to them,’’ he said.
The prize-giving ceremony was in the Killarney Oaks Hotel.
