After defeating Maynooth (Kildare) in the All Ireland Intermediate semi-final on January 24th 2010 by 2-11 to 2-9, next for Spa was the All Ireland Final on the hallowed ground at Croke Park on February 14th 2010.

The All Ireland Intermediate Club Championship Final was preceded by the All Ireland Junior Final, with Kerry side Castlegregory crowned champions after defeating Kiltimagh GAA (Mayo) by 1-14 to 0-15 (after extra time).

The Castlegregory team gave Spa a guard of honour as they walked out onto the pitch for the All Ireland Intermediate Championhip Final at 3.45pm that afternoon. In the end, despite a one-point lead at half time, Cookstown Fr Rocks (Tyrone) defeated Spa on that historic day by 1-7 to 0-8.
