Kerry County Council Community Fund
Our thanks to Kerry County Council who have given a grant of €700 to Spa GAA as part of their Community Fund allocation.
Spa GAA Club Registration
Registration is ongoing and will remain open until the March 31st deadline. Registration is available online on spagaa.com or our registrars will be in Spa on Thursday evenings from 7pm-8pm. All players, officers, coaches etc MUST be registered club members to take part in club activities in 2020.
Co League Division 1: Spa 2-12 John Mitchels 2-10
Spa travelled to Tralee on Sunday afternoon for the opening round of the Co League. Despite playing against a strong breeze in the opening half, they led for most of the game and secured their first two Co League points. Match report on this link. Co League Division 6: Spa B 0-12 Dr. Crokes C 1-13
Spa put up a great battle in Lewis Rd in their first ever Division 6 match, but eventually succumbed to a Dr Crokes outfit inspired by sharpshooter Colm Cooper. While defeated, this was a very encouraging display by a young Spa side. Match report on this link. Scór Sinsear
Congratulations to our Scór competitors and mentors on their titles from the East Kerry finals of Scór Sinsear last Friday night. Spa won Set Dancing, Figure Dancing and Recitation and were also selected as winners of the Overall Club. These competitors will join our Tráth na gCeist team at the Co Finals in Milltown Community Hall this Friday March 13th. Good luck to all participants and mentors.

31 Card Drive Fundraiser in memory of Johnny Batt Cronin
A group of Spa members are planning a special 31 Card Drive at the Clubhouse on Sunday March 15th in aid of the Oncology Unit at University Hospital Kerry. This special fundraiser in being organised in memory of Johnny Batt and is taking place at the clubhouse at 4.30pm this Sunday. Entry fee to the card game is €10 per person. The game is open to everyone, and people are welcome to just come along on the day. As well as the 31 Card Drive, there will also be a raffle on the day and refreshments available. Everyone is welcome to come along and join us on the day, not just card players. For anyone that would like to donate to the fundraiser separately, there is an online donation option available through spagaa.com. All proceeds will go to the Comfort for Chemo charity in aid of the UHK Oncology Unit. For any queries or further information contact Andy Regan (0860797716).

Spa GAA Club wish to offer our deepest sympathies to Sheila Kelly & family on their recent loss. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. A Memorial Mass for Joan (Nee Kelly), Dave, Adam and Mikey will take place on Wednesday 11th March 2020 at 7.30pm in St Mary's Cathedral, Killarney. Kerry U20
Congrats to Aidan Cahill and the Kerry u20s on their Munster Final victory over Cork. They now face Galway in the All Ireland semi-final on March 17th at 2pm in Croke Park.

County Clean Up
Spa will be taking part in the Kerry County Clean Up on Saturday March 28th – Volunteers needed that morning and bags, pickers, high-vis vests etc will be supplied. Contact Deirdre 0851216359 for details.

Spa GAA will be taking part in next week’s St Patrick’s Parade in Killarney town, starting on Mission Rd.
