Lily-of-Killarney-Winner-2017-Mary-and-Chairman.jpg

44th Lily of Killarney 2017 -

Mary T Moynihan was crowned the 2017 Lily of Killarney in the Gleneagle. 2016 Lily of Killarney Eve O'Donoghue passed over the auspicious honour to Mary. Mary 24, is a hairdresser and also works in Jimmy Brien's as a bar tender. Once again this was a sold out event as one of the highlights in Killarney's social calendar. 29 Lilies participated but Mary ran out the eventual winner by judges Síle Seoige, Dawn Ryan (former Limerick Rose of Tralee), and Sean Neville. Síle Seoige was delighted to chair the judging and looks fantastic at 7 and half months pregnant. Mary received the Healy-Cronin perpetual Cup from Chairperson Geraldine O'Neill. Mary received fabulous prizes from generous sponsors. She received €500 from Con Stack and Tricel. She will also travel to London to the Killarney London Reunion for a 2 night break, sponsored by Noel O'Sullivan. Mike O'Leary presented Mary with an electrical gift. Flowers were presented by White Heather, Hair Hamper from Pat O'Neill Style Suite and a Beauty Hamper from Shear Beauty. Each Lily received a special glass commemorative trophy on the night. Thanks to main sponsors Killarney Credit Union and Media Sponsor Killarney Outlook Magazine
Jill Duggan of Killarney Toning and Beauty Studio also presented the Lilies with  a special beauty package for the night. It  was a brilliant night and once again the music was supplied by Celebration The Band. There was a  special treat for everyone when our All Ireland Scor na nÓg set dancers performed for the packed house. Ray O'Sullivan was a very entertaining MC on the night. The escorts on the night were gentlemen Dara Moynihan, Evan Cronin,Dan O'Donoghue, Hugh O'Donoghue, Niall O'Mahony and Paul Mahoney and were excellent at this task. The Spa Ladies Committee once again pulled off a great night chaired by Geraldine O'Neill, Sheila Curtin (Vice Chairperson), Margaruite Brosnan, Marie O'Keeffe, Sheila Cronin, Denise Gleeson, Breda Hickey, Claire O'Mahony and Louise O'Sullivan, and deserve a huge bula bos for their hard work.
